Overview
Havering Council's initial project with us was a complete redesign of their basic governmental job board, which lacked functionality and community engagement. This project was the catalyst for a long-term partnership, where we continue to support the council with various digital enhancements and maintenance.
The new website was developed with a focus on user-centric design, AA accessibility compliance, and seamless content management. Following the successful launch, we have continued to work with Havering Council on API integrations, site monitoring, analytics, CMS updates, security reports, and UX improvements, ensuring the website remains dynamic and responsive to the community's needs.
Technical Approach
To ensure the website met the council's functional and accessibility requirements, a multifaceted technical strategy was implemented and continues to evolve:

Custom Job List API Development: A bespoke API was developed and is continually updated to integrate job listings with the council’s Automated Tracking System (ATS). This API allows real-time updates and efficient management of job postings, significantly improving the user experience.

Juicer Social Media Aggregator: To enhance community engagement, the Juicer platform was integrated, aggregating the council’s social media feeds directly onto the site. This dynamic content feed keeps residents informed and engaged with the latest updates.
