Refinitiv needed to communicate the depth and breadth of a career journey within their organization. Traditional static content wasnt engaging enough to convey the emotional and professional growth that employees experience. They needed something innovative that would:

• Serve as both a recruitment and onboarding tool

We developed an innovative interactive video experience that brings these career moments to life. Shot as a single horizontal tracking shot, the journey follows an employee from their first steps into Refinitiv through various career-defining moments. Key features include:

  A seamless horizontal journey that symbolizes career progression, following our subject through various career stages and physical spaces.

• Interactive Pause Points
  Strategic moments where viewers can pause and dive deeper into specific career stages, complete with detailed information and employee testimonials.

• Rich Detail Integration
  Carefully choreographed background elements and environmental details that reward careful observation and repeated viewing.

Technical Implementation

The project required sophisticated technical solutions to achieve its creative vision:

• Interactive Video Control
  Using GSAP 1.16.1 for smooth animations and timeline control, allowing users to pause and explore different career stages with frame-perfect accuracy.

• Responsive Framework
  Built with Materialize CSS to ensure a consistent experience across all devices and screen sizes, maintaining the impact of the horizontal journey regardless of viewport.

• Performance Optimization
  Implemented through Cloudflare CDN and strategic use of Google Hosted Libraries and cdnjs for optimal loading times and smooth playback.

• jQuery Integration
  Utilized jQuery 3.4.1 for robust DOM manipulation and event handling, ensuring smooth interactivity and seamless state management.
